The trip to Zahner
has been my favorite so far, seeing all of the technologies that they use and
the sheer mass of product that they make for some of the top architects in the
world. The used many different types of metals and glasses, and on these metals
they experimented with different surface treatments to get different looks for
certain things. The used large, advanced machines to cut their metal, and used
many different types of joining technologies, such as welding and other sorts.
It would be incredible to see how Zahner works on a project from begin to
finish, and a possible internship would be life changing.
